As the Executive Pastry Chef at Swissôtel The Stamford and Raffles The Plaza, Kenny Kong has worked in France, Switzerland and his homeland, Hong Kong. He embarked on his culinary career when he toiled as a Junior Pastry Cook in Hotel Furama Hong Kong. His stint as a Pastry Chef in Saudi Arabia lasted from 1980 to 1986, honing his baking artistry even further.
Following, Kenny was also part of the Singapore team that clinched the gold medal in Food & Hotel Asisa (FHA) 1992 in the hot cooking competition and emerged champion among nine national teams. He not only won the “Battle for the Lion” trophy but was declared the overall champion of Food & Hotel Asia (FHA).
In 2002, Kenny was the winner of the “Inniskillin Icewine Pastry Chef of the Year Award” in the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence.
Kenny has participated and attained top ratings in numerous competitions around the world, successfully placing Singapore on the map of the international culinary scene. He has also been part of the jury for several international competitions.
Kenny is truly an artist in his own right.
